Davallia sp. Hanging basket
The Davallia fern, commonly known as the rabbit’s foot fern or hare’s foot fern, is a charming and distinctive plant that adds a touch of elegance to any hanging basket. Characterised by its finely textured, triangular fronds and furry rhizomes resembling a rabbit’s foot, this fern brings a unique visual appeal to indoor and outdoor spaces.
How to care for your Davallia –
Water: Water thoroughly during the growing season but less so in the winter. Keep moist but do not allow to stand in water. These plants are best watered around the plant and not directly onto the soil as watering the centre of the plant may cause it to rot.
Light: They like moderate, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight.
Humidity: They love humidity, would be well suited to a bathroom or kitchen.
Temperature: They enjoy warmth, about 20 degrees C.
